Chef Jenei was raised by her grandparents who both continued an old agrarian lifestyle of a mostly plant-based diet. Jenei moved to a nearby city and her eating lifestyle changed dramatically. She gained weight, developed autoimmune disorders, depression, severe allergies, and couldn’t understand why she felt sick and tired most of the time. All along, advice from doctors and friends were the same old same old.... eat less fat, exercise more, and use these prescriptions to improve your health, and none of these "solutions" worked. It took decades to find answers to her own health issues.

After seeking ways to help her spouse treat her early breast cancer, Chef Jenei dived into the new world of whole food plant-based nutrition. Since making the leap into herbalism and WFPB nutrition, her spouse has been cancer-free for over five years with no treatments or drugs. Both have lost weight, gained physical strength, and dramatically improved their overall health while significantly reducing their risks for heart attack, cancer, stroke, and diabetes. All of these gains happened because of making a switch in lifestyle into a whole food plant-based diet.

Chef Jenei received her certificate as a Plant-Based Nutritionist in 2021 from the T. Colin Campbell Center for Nutrition Studies through eCornell. She is also working on completing her American Herbalist Guild certification as a registered herbalist. Chef Jenei was a personal chef and caterer in her earlier life. She has always had a passion for good food and cooking and now enjoys converting favorite comfort food recipes into a WFPB diet. Most of all, Chef Jenei loves to share her experience and care for others through making beautiful good food and developing good long lasting relationships together.
